This is a flyer that one of the TEA Party members brought from their doctors office:

"On October 21st, 2009, the US Senate voted down a bill which would have corrected the flawed "SGR" formula. This means that Medicare will cut reimbursement to physicians by 21/5% starting on January 1, 2010.

Very few, if any physicians will then be able and willing to continue to see Medicare patients.

I am very distressed to report that both of the Texas senators, John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison cast votes against fixing the problem.

I would urge you, your firends, relatives andneighbors to telephone both senators as soon as possible to express your displeasure with the position that they took and to explain your unhappiness that your access to physicians may be limited.

The easiest way to contact a Senator is by using the AMA hotline. Dial 800-833-6354 and floow the prompts. This service is free and will connect you directly to the office of theSenator where you can either leave a message or discuss your concerns with one of his/her aides.

Rheumatology Associates"

This is pretty frightening, considering they want to now run ALL healthcare. The physicians cannot afford it and will go out of business. Please call or email your representative and make sure they know how you feel.

Did you know....
Two prominent African American pastors [Reverend Stephen Broden and Reverend Johnny Hunter]  held a peaceful protest in front of the White House, praying for our nation. They did this on the National Day of Prayer because Barack Obama would not participate in a service as other presidents before him have done. They were taken away in handcuffs and arrested. They spent the rest of the day in jail.

"We believe this republic is under great duress right now and stress, and we believe prayer is the means by which we can change things here in America and in this government," said Broden, pastor of Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas.
"We prayed that God would either stay the hand of judgment or quicken the hearts of men and women of faith for them to recognize that they need to come to the streets, they need to come to the public square and make it clear that we are not in favor of same-sex marriage, we are not in favor of this scourge ... [of abortion], we are not in favor of the kind of trickery and gamesmanships that are being played in the house of Congress and the house of the Senate. We are fed up, and we are tired of what this nation is doing and what our leaders are doing relative to their role and responsibility for protecting our freedoms."

The Texas legislature does not reconvene until 2011.
